My motorcycle dealers will always get someone that takes 2 hours an employee's time as he shows them a bike or a helmet--every color, every feature--and then goes down the street or orders online because someone else is selling it for $5 less. Businesses have to take in more $ than they spend? and pay the bills, just like the rest of us.

Most people are such pussies that they're afraid to negotiate. The key is to try to narrow them down as quickly as possible and make the process as quick as possible. Always sell to the woman because I never met a man in my years with enough balls to make a car buying decision. The woman will want tons of room and all wheel drive.

Spent 5 years in ... Spent 5 years in the motortrade and towards the end I felt like DeNiro. It is true that there is a lot of slime in the industry but there is also those honest hard working sales people who just try to make a living and are perceived/prejudged as low lives as soon as customers walk in the doors. Tough job to say the? least with very little respect. Everyone should sell or waiter at some stage of their lives to appreciate good customer service.
